Meet Tara Shorter

Tara Shorter is the master aesthetician at RefineU Med Spa in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Tara has been obsessed with skin care products since getting her first moisturizer and makeup set at age 13. Her struggles with adult acne after her son was born further fueled her passion for knowledge. 

Failing to find a solution for her acne with at-home remedies, Tara pursued her aesthetics degree. Despite her professional training, Tara was unsuccessful at clearing up her acne. She continued her search, and only after studying the French approach to aesthetics and skin care, Tara learned the importance of lymphatic drainage, kinesiology, and relaxation when performing facials.

In 2015, Tara joined Face Reality Skincare and learned how to use acids to treat specific types of acne and other skin conditions, a balancing act she feels she’s mastered.

With all her training and knowledge, Tara provides Esthetics in the Raw at RefineU Med Spa. She’s worked and trained with top lines in the aesthetic industry, putting them all together and using them in her treatment room to create amazing results for her patients.
